Urbanvčela – Beekeeping in the city centre

Urbanvčela is a young group of beekeepers from Košice. Currently, they work on the premises of Kino Úsmev (local art house cinema) with two bee families. That means 60,000 bees during summer months. Urbanvčela takes care of bees without the profit of the produced honey. Their aim is to show Košice residents the function of urban beekeeping and alert them about the irreplaceable role of bees in our lives.
